CHYIHAUR created a seamless illuminated corporate logo signage for the facade of the Yuanta Bank corporate tower, combining metal forming with a seamless inkjet face material and a Nichia LED front-lit configuration. For a financial brand, facade signage is the most direct declaration of trust on the city skyline. The Yuanta Bank corporate tower stands in the heart of Taipei, where the sign has to remain clearly legible from a long distance while withstanding wind load and sun exposure at height. The real challenge was never the fabrication, but how to carry one complete, seamless sign safely and accurately up to an ultra-high floor and fix it exactly into place.

Project Background and Challenges
Yuanta Bank is one of the defining brands of Taiwan's financial system, and its corporate tower occupies an ultra-high office floor in central Taipei, where the facade signage forms the brand's first impression on the city skyline. That location brings more than visibility; it also raises the difficulty of the work. The lifting operation demands close control of wind speed and direction, the sign has to be kept from spinning as it rises, and swaying caused by gusts must be prevented. Every hoist puts the crane operation and the on-site team's experienced judgement to the test.
A Brand Statement on the City Skyline
The sign is set on the stone facade at the highest point of the building, clearly legible when viewed from a distance at street level. The deep blue ground and white star mark form a decisive contrast against the grey stone and dark glass curtain wall, keeping the brand identity clean and prominent within a complex urban backdrop.

Design Goals and Strategy
We set the goal as keeping the sign whole at every viewing distance. The body is formed in metal and finished with a seamless inkjet face material, avoiding the joint shadows that conventional panelling produces at long range. The light source uses Nichia LED front lighting, so that daytime colour saturation and nighttime evenness of illumination both hold true. The surface then received a high-strength coating to answer years of sun and rain at height, ensuring long-term stability in an outdoor environment.
The Precise Proportions of a Seamless Face
From the side, the actual depth of the sign housing and the way it meets the facade become visible. The curvature of the formed metal aligns with the stone piers, so the sign reads as part of the architecture rather than an accessory added afterwards.

The sign is fixed to the stone facade on stand-off brackets. Mounting height and angle had to be calculated before the hoist began, because on site there is only one chance to land it exactly in place.
