When a chain brand rolls out new stores, the hardest part of signage is rarely the design, it is that every store's wall is different. Miti's indoor sign light boxes had to be mass-produced and distributed across varied installation sites, where brick walls, drywall partitions, and timber facades each impose their own fixing conditions. CHYIHAUR planned everything from materials and lighting to the mounting system in one go, so the same sign mounts securely on every wall.

Project Background & Challenges

Miti, a brand under Miti Foods, is expanding rapidly through a chain model, and its indoor sign light boxes needed to be mass-produced in one run and distributed in batches to different sites. Every installation site has different wall materials and fixing conditions; a single fastening method would leave signs crooked at best and impossible to install at worst. At the same time, the signage itself had to maintain consistent detail and quality at production scale. These were the two most important challenges of this project.

The detail threshold of volume

Stainless steel answers the durability a chain store needs; the wood grain supplies the warmth a food brand wants — so the surface is sprayed directly with a three-dimensional wood grain, then sealed under a clear matte protective coat so the texture is not worn away during volume production and shipping. The lettering is laser-cut through the box rather than applied afterwards: every batch is cut from the same file, so the detail arrives identical at each store and design fidelity stays at 100%.

Design Goals & Strategy

We set the goal as "one specification that adapts to every store": durable stainless steel for the material, with the brand lettering formed by laser cutting; the surface direct-printed with 3D woodgrain to evoke the warm, tactile feel of a food brand, then sealed with a matte clear protective coat to preserve the grain detail. The lighting uses a dual front- and back-lit configuration, keeping the lettering crisp while giving the outline a soft glow. On the installation side, we developed dedicated mounting brackets so that on-site differences are absorbed by the hardware design rather than improvised on the wall.

Tolerance built into the hardware

Wall conditions were the real variable here: brick, light partitions and timber-clad walls each fix differently. That variance was absorbed into a purpose-developed mounting bracket system, so nothing has to be improvised on site and one single specification can be shipped out in batches to every store.

Project Outcome

Miti's indoor sign light boxes were mass-produced and distributed to a single specification, and the dedicated mounting brackets let every store install securely regardless of wall conditions, with 100% design fidelity.
