Project Planning & Execution

CHYIHAUR Team

A restaurant's brand impression comes not only from its sign, but also from the vinyl graphics on the glass and the large-format prints on the walls, every surface facing the street and the customer is part of the brand. For Yutu Sukiyaki, CHYIHAUR integrated the outdoor signage, vinyl lettering, and wall graphics into a single build, so the store could greet its opening looking whole.

01

Project Background & Challenge

Before Yutu Sukiyaki opened, several deliverables had to be completed on the same schedule, outdoor signage, exterior vinyl lettering, and large-format wall graphics. When a multi-item storefront image project like this is split among different vendors, color inconsistency and clashing installation schedules are easy to run into. The challenge here was to fold every visual deliverable into a single plan and get it all right the first time.

One Standard, One Facade

The storefront is the first brand message a customer receives, and the part most likely to drift when separate vendors work on it: sign, cut vinyl and large-format wall print ordered apart rarely hold the same pink and red across different materials. All three were placed under one brand visual standard, with a single sequence for getting on site that followed the shop's fit-out schedule, so the frontage stood complete on opening day.

02

Design Goals & Strategy

We coordinated the whole project on a single principle: consistent inside and out, ready on opening day. Signage, vinyl lettering, and wall graphics followed one set of brand visual standards, ensuring consistent color and presentation across different materials and techniques. On site, the installation sequence was arranged in one plan so that sign mounting, vinyl application, and wall printing never interfered with one another, all timed to the store's fit-out schedule.

Starting Point for the Color Standard

Signage is the part of this project where design and fabrication were handled by the same team, so the color standard was set here first, and the cut vinyl and the wall graphics were then matched back to it. Outdoor and indoor advertising were planned together, so the visual carries through once you step inside the store.

Readable Against the Light

Glass sits backlit for most of the day, so cut vinyl has only solid colour to hold legibility. The slogan was applied in a single red, readable in daylight without any lighting behind it.

A narrow interior aisle where the left wall is covered edge to edge with hand-drawn orange-red rabbits on pale pink, customers eating at the counter on the right, and clear glass globe pendants lit warm overhead.

Pacing the Corridor

The wall carries no single hero visual; the rabbit is repeated edge to edge instead, with one red seal in the middle stretch. Walk to the far end and the atmosphere never breaks.

Type Size and Distance

From a distance only the largest few characters read; the small print needs the viewing distance you only get at the door. The standing sign covers exactly that gap.

Project Outcome

The signage, vinyl lettering, and wall graphics for Yutu Sukiyaki were completed on schedule, with the storefront and its surrounding visuals presenting one consistent brand impression. From the sign seen at a distance, to the glass facade up close, to the wall visuals inside and out, customers receive the same complete brand language, letting the store debut in its fullest form on day one.

FAQ

This is a storefront image project CHYIHAUR delivered for the restaurant brand Yutu Sukiyaki, covering outdoor signage design and fabrication, exterior vinyl lettering, and large-format wall graphics. The project integrated multiple visual deliverables on a single schedule to unify the store's brand impression.

In the Yutu Sukiyaki case, CHYIHAUR provided outdoor signage design and fabrication, exterior vinyl lettering, large-format wall graphics, and on-site integrated installation, all planned and executed by one team.

Vinyl lettering is a technique where graphics and text are cut from adhesive vinyl film and applied to glass or flat surfaces, and CHYIHAUR often uses it to extend brand visuals onto storefront glass facades and display windows. It is quick to install and easy to replace, making it a good complement to signage for a more complete storefront look.

Having one CHYIHAUR team integrate signage, vinyl lettering, and wall graphics ensures consistent color and visuals across different materials and techniques, with the installation schedule arranged as one plan. Compared with splitting the work among several vendors, it better avoids color mismatches and clashing sequences, keeping the job on schedule for opening day.
