Project Planning & Execution

CHYIHAUR Team

Aesthetic spaces are built on trust, and the quality of indoor identity directly shapes a customer's first impression of a brand's professionalism. As it scaled its chain of clinics, Star Aesthetic Medical needed a repeatable indoor dimensional signage standard—the same typeface, the same quality of light—so that walking into any location delivers a consistent brand experience. CHYIHAUR realized this identity system in painted acrylic.

01

Background & Challenges

Star Aesthetic Medical is a chain-rollout project, where the indoor dimensional letters had to meet one consistent standard across multiple locations. The challenge lay in varying spatial conditions: some spots suited illuminated letters to highlight the core brand identity, while other zones called for non-lit dimensional letters that blend quietly into the interior. Keeping one visual system consistent in typeface and color across both the lit and unlit states tested the craftsmanship's stability on the production side.

The Lit and Unlit Split

This wall was given the supporting role: it has to sit quietly within the interior finish rather than compete with the illuminated letters carrying the main identity, so the letters here take no light source. They are not a second set of letters — the typeface and the baked-paint colour both follow the illuminated version, with only the light taken away, so the lit and the unlit still read as one set of letters in the same space.

Design Goals & Strategy

The strategy was "one typeface standard, two lighting expressions": acrylic was adopted as the unified core material, with painted acrylic illuminated letters and a front-lit configuration in the primary identity zones to keep the brand lettering crisp and bright; supporting zones used painted acrylic letters in a non-lit configuration, retaining the same typeface and painted color and simply removing the light source. The painted finish guarantees identical color across both techniques, so the lit and unlit letters still read as one system within the same space.

Front-Lit Where It Counts

People pass through this corridor rather than stop in it, so the wording has to land in a single glance. It is built as front-lit baked-paint acrylic illuminated letters, with the light coming forward off the face, so the blue glow of the access panel beside it never takes over.

The counter and the frosted partitions block the lower half of the sightline, so the letters sit above that block. Every branch is set out from the same positioning standard.

Project Results

Star Aesthetic Medical's indoor dimensional signage was fabricated and installed in 12 days, with 100% fidelity to the design. Under one painted color, the illuminated and non-lit dimensional letters present a consistent quality—the primary identity bright and eye-catching, the supporting identity blending elegantly into the space. The project established a directly replicable indoor identity standard for the chain rollout, so future locations can adopt the same production spec.

FAQ

Star Aesthetic Medical's indoor dimensional signage is a chain-rollout identity project delivered by CHYIHAUR in 2022. Built primarily in acrylic, it used a dual technique—painted acrylic illuminated letters and painted acrylic letters—and was completed in 12 days.

Star Aesthetic Medical's indoor identity was made by CHYIHAUR primarily in acrylic, with lettering in two techniques: painted acrylic illuminated letters and painted acrylic letters. Both techniques share the same painted color, ensuring the lit and unlit letters present a consistent quality.

In the Star Aesthetic Medical case, CHYIHAUR configured front-lit and non-lit expressions by each space's role: illuminated letters highlight the brand in the primary identity zones, while non-lit dimensional letters blend into the interior in supporting zones. This configuration gives the identity a clear hierarchy and lends the space a more composed, professional atmosphere.

Star Aesthetic Medical's indoor signage was mass-produced by CHYIHAUR to a unified typeface standard, material, and painted color, then installed to the same standard at each location. One spec can be replicated directly to new locations, so the identity stays naturally consistent without redevelopment during expansion.

The Star Aesthetic Medical indoor dimensional signage project was completed by CHYIHAUR on a 12-day build cycle, with 100% fidelity to the design. Upon completion, a one-year workmanship warranty is provided.
