Sanlih Group Outdoor Pylon Sign Light Box | Stainless Steel Fluorocarbon (PVDF) Coating Project
Selected Works
The Corporate First Impression, Visible Day and Night
CHYIHAUR crafted an outdoor light box pylon at the entrance of Sanlih Group's corporate building: stainless steel metal forming with a fluorocarbon (PVDF) baked finish, milky-white acrylic dimensional letters set into laser-cut openings, an internal stainless steel frame for structural reinforcement, and a front-lit Japanese Nichia LED configuration. Completed in 45 days, with a three-year warranty on both lighting and fabrication.

This outdoor light box pylon for Sanlih Group stands at the main entrance of the corporate building, serving as the brand's first visual touchpoint to the outside world. The design had to deliver not only high legibility and round-the-clock visibility, but also echo the image and professional trust the company has built over the years — for a pylon sign expected to stand tall outdoors for years, every choice of material, structure, and light source is a decision you look back on a decade later.
The First Sight at the Company's Front Door
Project Background & Challenges
Sanlih Group's outdoor light box pylon sits at the main entrance of the corporate building — the first visual touchpoint through which visitors and passing traffic see the brand. A pylon sign is exposed to sun and rain for years on end: the box must weather the elements, the structure must resist wind, and the lighting must stay stable day and night, all while the exterior maintains a refinement worthy of the corporate image. Delivering durability and beauty at the same time was the core challenge of this project.

What the entrance point demands
The pylon sits at the building's main entrance, where visitors and passing traffic read the brand first — so it has to work in daylight, with the lighting off. The box is therefore formed in stainless steel and finished in fluorocarbon coating that resists UV and acid rain without fading; the lettering is laser-cut and inset with milk-white acrylic, read by its outline in daylight and only filled in after dark by front-lit Nichia LEDs. Inside, the stainless frame was reinforced to take years of wind and rain.
Design Goals & Strategy
We planned around a goal of "visible day and night, stable for the long haul": the box is formed from stainless steel and finished with a fluorocarbon (PVDF) coating that resists UV and acid rain and keeps its colour for years; the brand lettering is laser-cut and set with milky-white acrylic dimensional letters, presenting crisp outlines by day and an even glow by night; the interior is reinforced with a stainless steel frame, and the light source is a front-lit configuration of Japanese Nichia LED fixtures that balances brightness with longevity.

The half daylight hides
Even light after dark does not come from simply turning the lamps up: the light source is Japanese Nichia LED, laid out as front lighting, chosen so that brightness and service life are both covered. The power wiring inside the box was completed on site at the same time.

Between drawing and object
Form and proportions were settled at the design stage; the box and the illuminated lettering were fabricated to those drawings, leaving only structural reinforcement and electrical installation for the site — 100% fidelity.

Project Outcome
Once completed, Sanlih Group's light box pylon conveys corporate quality by day through the composed tones of its fluorocarbon (PVDF) finish and crisp lettering, while at night the Nichia LEDs evenly illuminate the milky-white acrylic letters — high legibility around the clock, with 100% design fidelity. The reinforced internal structure lets the pylon stand up to the outdoor environment for the long term, and paired with a three-year warranty, it becomes a trustworthy first impression at the corporate entrance.

FAQ
This is an outdoor corporate pylon sign that CHYIHAUR carried out for Sanlih Group in 2022, with the light box pylon installed at the main entrance of the corporate building. The work used stainless steel metal forming, a fluorocarbon (PVDF) finish, and laser-cut milky-white acrylic dimensional letters, completed in 45 days.
Sanlih Group's light box pylon is formed from stainless steel with a fluorocarbon (PVDF) surface finish; the brand lettering is rendered with laser-cut openings and milky-white acrylic dimensional letters, and the interior is structurally reinforced with a stainless steel frame.
A fluorocarbon (PVDF) coating is one of the most weather-resistant metal surface finishes, resisting the fading and chalking caused by UV, acid rain, and temperature swings over the long term. CHYIHAUR used a fluorocarbon coating on Sanlih Group's pylon sign to keep the box looking new for years and to reduce maintenance frequency.
This project uses a front-lit configuration with Japanese Nichia LED fixtures, casting an even glow through the milky-white acrylic letters set into the laser-cut openings. By day the lettering shows crisp dimensional outlines, and by night it emits a soft, clear light — high legibility around the clock.
The Sanlih Group outdoor pylon sign had a 45-day construction period and 100% design fidelity; upon completion, CHYIHAUR provides a three-year warranty on lighting and a three-year warranty on fabrication.
