momo Fubon Media HQ Facade Signage | Large-Scale Seamless Metal Illuminated Letters

Selected Works

Brand-Color Fidelity x High-Brightness Visual Presence

CHYIHAUR delivered the facade illuminated-letter signage for the Fubon Media momo corporate tower, pairing fluorocarbon-coated stainless-steel frame letters with premium 3M seamless soft face material to produce large-scale seamless metal illuminated letters. Japanese Nichia LED modules precisely reproduce the brand's signature magenta. Completed in 45 days, with a three-year warranty on both fixtures and fabrication.

momo's magenta is one of the brand colors Taiwanese consumers recognize most instantly. Scaling that color across a corporate tower facade, keeping it saturated by day and luminous by night, is a true test of material and light-source integration. Using large-scale seamless metal illuminated letters, CHYIHAUR turned momo's brand energy into a striking urban landmark.

Scaling a brand color into a city landmark

01

Project Background and Challenge

Fubon Media momo is a defining name in Taiwan's e-commerce and media industries. The illuminated letters on its corporate tower facade had to achieve two things at once: reproduce the highly saturated magenta brand color with precision by day, and establish recognition through even, high-intensity brightness by night. Handled poorly, large-scale metal illuminated letters are prone to visible seams, color deviation and uneven brightness, and at tower scale every such flaw is magnified under scrutiny.

Weather Protection for the Brand Color

At building scale, color shifts and unevenness get magnified under scrutiny. By day the sign does no lighting work; the accuracy of the magenta itself decides it. The letter faces therefore carry a fluorocarbon baked finish — weather-resistant, anti-fade, UV-resistant — keeping the brand color saturated over the long term. Letter size, position and the overall visual treatment were settled together during exterior signage planning.

Design Goals and Strategy

Material strategy makes or breaks the result. The letters are formed as stainless-steel frame letters finished with a fluorocarbon coating, which resists weathering and fading to hold saturated color over the long term. The illuminated face uses premium 3M seamless soft material, so the large letter faces stay seam-free with even light transmission. The light source runs on Japanese Nichia LED modules in a front-lit configuration, delivering even nighttime brightness and stable service life. Four material techniques integrate into a single tower identity built to stand the test of time.

One Continuous Lit Face

At this scale, a face assembled from several panels shows split lines by day and brightness gaps at night. The lit face is therefore formed in one piece from 3M high-grade seamless soft material, with stainless steel edge-framed letters carrying the depth and rigidity, so it stays a single continuous surface even seen from directly below.

The Case for Front Lighting

The light source is a front-lit arrangement of Nichia LED modules from Japan, chosen for even nighttime brightness and stable service life — not simply to make the letters bright.

Project Outcome

Once complete, the momo corporate tower's illuminated letters present the brand with precise color-matched saturated magenta by day and, at night, are lit evenly by Nichia LED modules for outstanding recognition, achieving 100% design fidelity. The large-scale seamless metal illuminated letters successfully gave the brand strong exposure and memorability within the urban environment, becoming a brand landmark in the city.

FAQ

This is a corporate architectural facade illuminated-letter signage project that CHYIHAUR delivered for Fubon Media momo. The project was produced using a large-scale seamless metal illuminated letter technique, combining fluorocarbon coating, stainless-steel frame letters, premium 3M seamless soft material and Japanese Nichia LED modules, over a 45-day build.

The letters are formed as stainless-steel frame letters with a fluorocarbon-coated surface, the illuminated face uses premium 3M seamless soft material, and the light source is a front-lit configuration of Japanese Nichia LED modules. This combination keeps the large letter faces seam-free, color-saturated and evenly lit.

When large illuminated letters are pieced together from multiple face panels, the seams form dividing lines by day and brightness gaps by night; seamless soft material lets the entire letter face form as one piece, staying clean and complete both up close and from afar, making it especially suited to tower-scale brand identity.

Fluorocarbon coating is a surface-finishing technique with excellent weather resistance, resisting UV and fading, so outdoor signage holds its brand-color saturation over the long term while lowering future maintenance and recoating costs.

The build period for the momo tower facade illuminated-letter project was 45 days, with 100% design fidelity; on completion, it comes with a three-year warranty on fixtures and a three-year warranty on fabrication.
