Identity for an educational campus carries two jobs. Outward, the entrance signage must let anyone recognise at a glance that "this is Gaia High School." Inward, the wayfinding system must keep first-time visitors from getting lost. The two seem separate, yet they speak one identity language. CHYIHAUR planned everything from outdoor signage to wayfinding as a single scope, so the identity both points the way and speaks for the brand.

Project Background & Challenge
Gaia High School's identity needs spanned two levels: the outdoor signage had to mark the campus entrance clearly within its surroundings and establish trust at first glance, while the wayfinding system had to serve the students and staff passing through daily as well as first-time parents and visitors. The challenge lay in consistency—if the signage and wayfinding were each done in isolation, the campus identity would look fragmented and the visitor's journey would break apart.
Legible Without Light
The panel is not lit, so legibility rests entirely on tonal contrast: high-chroma yellow over a translucent blue ground still separates under nothing but diffuse indoor light. Floor and time slot, the things people look for first, are kept on one face so nothing has to be cross-checked. Typeface and colour follow the same rules as the entrance signage, so from arrival to destination a visitor reads one system rather than a set of unrelated boards.

Design Goals & Strategy
We designed the outdoor signage and the wayfinding system as one shared identity language: the entrance identity sets the brand's visual tone, and the wayfinding system carries the same typeface and visual rules, so from the moment visitors enter the campus to the moment they reach their destination, the guidance they receive stays coherent. Design, fabrication, and installation were all handled by the CHYIHAUR team, ensuring consistent finish quality at every location.
Held Up by a Fold
The folded ridge gives the panel rigidity of its own, so no bracket has to be added and the face is left carrying only what needs to be read. Every point is installed by the same team, so no board ends up finished to a different standard than the one beside it.

Guidance Off the Wall
The triangular folded panel turns two faces in different directions and stands directly on the concrete floor, in the route itself; from either side you meet the lettering head-on, with no need to ask the way.

Project Outcome
Once complete, Gaia High School's entrance signage clearly announces the campus location, while the wayfinding system guides circulation in one consistent visual language, letting visitors find their way without having to ask. The identity system fulfils both being seen and being used, building an orderly, trustworthy brand impression for the educational campus.
