Furou's brand visuals called for something other than heavy metal — light, vivid color that sticks in the mind at a glance. CHYIHAUR harnessed the translucency of colored transparent acrylic alongside the flowing lines of soft neon LED strips, carrying a single visual language from outdoor signage to indoor displays and weaving the storefront inside and out into one complete brand experience.
Project Background & Challenge
Furou's signage project spanned outdoor signage and indoor advertising displays, calling for a highly recognizable brand identity within a limited working footprint. The challenge lay in material selection: it had to be light and translucent to convey a youthful brand character, yet keep the outdoor and indoor visual language consistent so the storefront and in-store experience never felt disjointed.

Tags unlit, ceiling lit
Indoors we used the same coloured translucent acrylic as the shopfront, just cut down to tag size, so the material language carries straight from the door into the store rather than breaking at the threshold. The tags themselves are unlit — the translucent colour of the orange acrylic is what makes them read — while the lighting job is handed to the neon flex overhead: front-lit and unlit used together, the same approach repeated indoors.
Design Goals & Strategy
The strategy centered on 'color and light': colored transparent acrylic was chosen so its translucency would make color itself the visual focus, while soft neon LED strips traced flowing luminous lines. A front-lit configuration keeps the signage vivid and eye-catching at night, while the non-lit acrylic elements sustain recognizability by day through their translucent color. Outdoor signage and indoor displays share a single material language, consistent inside and out.

The risk of broken letterforms
At night the sign's legibility rests entirely on this run of tubing, so the tubing is mounted on the outer face of the ribbed glass rather than behind it — a front-lit arrangement, so the ribs never chop the letterforms into segments; and the quality of every bend has nowhere to hide.

Indoor and outdoor sequencing
The sign and the corridor beside it belong to two separate work zones, one outdoor and one indoor, and both went in at the same time rather than one after the other — seven days to completion, which is what made the opening date.

Project Results
In the finished Furou storefront, the colored transparent acrylic draws the eye by day through its translucent color, while at night the soft neon strips light up flowing brand lines; the indoor displays carry the same visual language, achieving 100% design fidelity. The swift 7-day completion also let the store open on schedule — a fine example of high-efficiency brand engineering for a small storefront.

FAQ
This is a case in which CHYIHAUR delivered outdoor signage and indoor advertising displays for Furou. The project paired colored transparent acrylic with soft neon LED strips, combining front-lit and non-lit configurations, completed in 7 days with 100% design fidelity.
The signage and displays use two primary materials — colored transparent acrylic and soft neon LED strips: the acrylic conveys the brand's character through translucent color, while the soft neon strips trace luminous lines.
Soft neon LED strips are a flexible LED tape that mimics the glow of neon; they bend into flowing lines and are lighter to install and more durable than glass neon. Here, soft neon paired with colored transparent acrylic delivers a light, youthful brand visual.
Colored transparent acrylic transmits light well and shows vivid color, staying recognizable by day without lighting — ideal for youthful brands and small storefronts that want color to create a memory hook. Furou used its translucent quality to link the visuals of its outdoor signage and indoor displays.
The build cycle for Furou's outdoor signage and indoor displays was 7 days, with 100% design fidelity; a one-year workmanship warranty is provided upon completion.
