ASUS Corporate Building Exterior Signage | Large-Scale Seamless Metal Illuminated Letters Case

Selected Works

Seamless light, worthy of an international brand's stature

CHYIHAUR delivered exterior building signage with illuminated letters for ASUS, built as large-scale seamless metal illuminated letters: hairline-finish stainless steel formed border letters paired with seamless soft-material faces, reinforced internally with a stainless steel frame. A front-lit configuration powered by Japanese Nichia LEDs, completed in 45 days, with a three-year warranty on both fixtures and fabrication.

An international brand's architectural logo has no room for the flaw of a single seam. Once letters are enlarged to architectural scale, conventional face materials inevitably show splicing marks—visible seams by day, dark lines glowing through at night. For ASUS's corporate building exterior signage, CHYIHAUR solved the problem with seamless soft material and hairline-finish stainless steel border letters, so the large illuminated letters read as one complete whole, up close or from afar.

01

Project Background & Challenge

ASUS's corporate building identity called for large-scale exterior illuminated lettering. The greatest challenge was scale: once letters are enlarged to architectural dimensions, ordinary panel materials—limited by stock sizes—must be spliced together. Those seams read as visible lines by day and form dark streaks when illuminated at night, directly undermining the presentation of an international brand. At the same time, large metal letters carry considerable self-weight, so the internal structure had to bear the load reliably.

Letter faces formed in one piece

Once the letters scale up to the building itself, standard panel stock has to be pieced together; by day the seams read as lines, and once the letters are lit they turn into dark bands. The faces here use a seamless soft material formed as one piece, so there is no joint to find even on an overcast day with the lighting off. The letters stand clear of the wall, and the internal stainless steel frame is reinforced to carry the self-weight and wind load at this size.

Design Goals & Strategy

The strategy centered on one word: seamless. The letter borders were formed from hairline-finish stainless steel for a refined metallic texture, while the illuminated face used a seamless soft material that breaks past stock-size limits—letting a large letter face form as a single piece with no splicing marks whatsoever. Structurally, an internal stainless steel frame reinforced the assembly to bear the long-term suspension of the large letters. The light source used a front-lit configuration with Japanese Nichia LEDs, ensuring even illumination and lasting brightness across the broad letter faces.

The sides are finished too

At this angle the sides of the letters read first, and even the depth of the letter bodies is visible; the returns are formed stainless steel with a hairline finish, a fine brushed-metal texture.

Project Outcome

The ASUS corporate building signage was completed on schedule within 45 days, achieving 100% design fidelity. The seamless soft material left the large illuminated letter face entirely free of splicing marks; by day the hairline stainless steel reads crisp and refined, and by night the Nichia LEDs light the entire face evenly, letting the corporate logo stand upon the building in its most complete form. A three-year dual warranty on fixtures and fabrication provides long-term assurance.

FAQ

The ASUS corporate building signage is a large-scale seamless metal illuminated-letter project that CHYIHAUR delivered for ASUS in 2022. The letters combine hairline-finish stainless steel formed borders with seamless soft-material faces, reinforced internally with a stainless steel frame and completed within 45 days.

Large-scale seamless metal illuminated letters are the technique CHYIHAUR used in the ASUS project: stainless steel formed borders paired with a seamless soft material as the illuminated letter face. The soft material breaks past the stock-size limits of ordinary panels, letting an architectural-scale letter face form as one piece—no visible seams by day, no dark streaks when lit at night.

The letter borders of the ASUS signage were formed by CHYIHAUR from hairline-finish stainless steel. The hairline treatment gives a fine brushed-metal texture—understated yet refined, matching the image and tone of an international technology brand.

In the ASUS project, CHYIHAUR reinforced the structure with a stainless steel frame inside the letters. The internal skeleton bears the self-weight and wind load of the large letters, ensuring the logo can be safely suspended on the building exterior over the long term.

For the ASUS exterior signage, CHYIHAUR used a front-lit configuration with Japanese Nichia LED fixtures, completing the work in a 45-day construction period with 100% design fidelity. Upon completion, it comes with a three-year warranty on the fixtures and a three-year warranty on the fabrication.
